Perplexity answers questions with source citations, which makes it methodically attractive for preparing research - you can see what a statement rests on; the typical question also works without any client reference. For professional secrets, by contrast, no viable route is available: buying directly from the vendor offers no European data residency, processing runs on US infrastructure, whether a data processing agreement is offered at all is presented inconsistently in public, and a confidentiality agreement under section 203 of the German Criminal Code does not exist. As soon as client, patient or personnel data enter the question, every load-bearing element is missing.
