The most capable tier of Anthropic's standard Claude family, built for text work where precision matters: it keeps long chains of argument clean, brings out contradictions between several documents, and hits a register in German that works for pleadings and client correspondence. Under professional-secrecy law the route decides. Via Google Vertex AI the contractual chain is closed: the platform operator has signed the confidentiality agreement under section 203 of the German Criminal Code, and ahead of it the chain obligation under section 203(4) applies. Via Amazon Bedrock, despite far-reaching technical commitments, there is no signable document for that undertaking; buying directly from the vendor and the free consumer access do not carry professional secrets.

Everything section 203 requires is settled, including the provider's confidentiality undertaking, and nothing is stored at the provider, apart from a technical cache of a few minutes for Claude (zero retention). You do not have to clarify anything further.
