The large tier from the French vendor Mistral AI, built for demanding analysis, drafting and correspondence; it works confidently in German and French and is therefore the obvious choice in multilingual European matters. Two routes carry for professional secrets: via Azure, where the model is sold and operated by the platform itself, and via Google Vertex AI. On both routes the confidentiality undertaking under section 203 of the German Criminal Code is signed and the chain closed - binding to the EU has to be enforced actively, because the global endpoints of both platforms give no residency guarantee.

What it is good for
- Large tier from a European vendor, strong in French and German

Where it stops
- No legal or tax-specific fine-tuning - the professional assessment stays with the practitioner
- Despite the European vendor, a US group sits in the chain on this route as the platform operator
- Abuse monitoring is active by default; switching it off depends on a vendor approval that cannot be booked directly
- The platform's global endpoint gives no residency guarantee - the same models can be called there as well. Binding to the EU is therefore a configuration requirement: the global endpoint is blocked by organisational policy, otherwise the EU commitment is a settings question rather than a property.
