ChatGPT Modell-Router
Not a language model of its own but a service that automatically passes every request on to one of the configured ChatGPT tiers: simple requests to small tiers, demanding ones to large tiers, without anyone having to choose in advance. Via Azure the contractual chain is closed - the confidentiality line signed there covers the models sold by Azure, and all reachable target models are themselves among them, so the routing does not leave that scope. One particularity belongs in the assessment: because the service selects the executing model itself, that selection has to be logged, otherwise it cannot be evidenced in an individual case which tier did the work.
Everything section 203 requires is settled, including the provider's confidentiality undertaking. You do not have to clarify anything further.
What it is good for
- Automatic selection of the appropriate size class per request - lowers cost without touching the application
- Available in the EU through the Sweden region, under the same contractual line as the target models
- All reachable target models are themselves models sold by Azure - the amendment's scope does not break through the routing
Where it stops
- Model selection rests with the service; without logging that selection it cannot be evidenced in an individual case which model processed the data
- Evidenced in the EU in a single region only (Sweden) - we found no deployment option in Germany as of 2026-08-17
- Abuse monitoring is active by default; switching it off depends on a vendor approval that cannot be booked directly
